No. The Guard Base is a directory and marketplace that connects you with independently owned and operated, licensed security companies. Any service agreement is between you and the company you choose.
Company profile pages list a phone number when available, and most active listings support a direct quote request. Use the "Quote" action on a result card or profile page to reach a company without needing to look up a phone number.
Listed companies are checked against public state security licensing records, and each profile shows a current license status badge. Always confirm license and insurance details directly with a company before signing an agreement.
Yes. Searching the directory, comparing companies, building a quote list, and submitting quote requests are free for anyone looking for security services.

We ask for your name, work email, and company details such as the business name and license number. Claim requests are reviewed by our team before dashboard access is granted, and we may follow up if we need more information.
Once your claim is approved, sign in to your company dashboard to request updates to your business name, address, phone, website, and description. Updates are reviewed before they go live on your public listing. Go to your dashboard ›
License details are sourced from public state licensing records. If your listing shows outdated or incorrect license information, contact support with your correct license number so we can verify and update it.
Yes. Claimed listings can upload a logo and a banner image from the company dashboard. Both are reviewed before appearing publicly on your profile.
From your company dashboard, you can request changes to your listed service tags so your profile matches what you actually offer. Service tags help your company appear in the right category and service searches. Manage your services ›
Listings only appear publicly when the company's license status is current and the profile is published. If your license recently renewed or your listing was recently claimed, contact support and we'll check its status.
